Jaws is a small CMS project that focuses on beginner users who want to make a customized personal website. The administration menu allows you to add “Gadgets” that include new functionality (such as a Blog, Photo Organizer, or Poll).

Our Experience:
Jaws is refreshing how they set up and thought about their admin menu. Very little functionality is automatically installed. Instead, you can custom install only what you want. Its pretty fun to try out the different “Gadgets” and see how they work and what they do. It gives a new user who has no technical ability a lot of control over their website.
The theming system could use a lot more control over each piece of code instead of hard-coding a lot of HTML/CSS. Also, because its a smaller project, there aren’t as many plugins/themes as with larger projects out there.
